Snow

I woke at 6am this morning to a funny sound, sounded like a rustling or someone dragging something. Intruders? The mind boggled. So in a sleepful state I peeked out the window, expecting trouble; not expecting snow. Lots of snow. The sound was snow falling off the branches.

Obviously very exciting for the kids, for the 4th(?) time this year - a new record for me living 15 or so years here. I had recorded the opening of the Olympics and being our kids 1st, we sat down and watched the opening ceremonies. Wasn?t it fantastic! I simply loved all those drums.

Then, into the snow. Wet and cold quickly. So we regrouped and then drove up the Port Hills. 2 hours later after snowmen, tobogganing, and much merriment we returned home to hot soup. Yum.

What a great day. Now, red wine, roaring fire - bliss ;-)
