Rapaki

Good day at work today, busy and a few developments, like having to go to the North island next week.

And then at 5, out on the bikes, in the misting rain, up Rapaki Track for the first time since February last year. It's been closed while they asses it for rockfall. Have to admit, I was looking for places to "hide" in the event of an earthquake as we riding up and more boulder rockfall. And if you think that's kind of weird or funny, here's an engineer explaining what happened (ideal for rock geeks) with some good vid of rocks in action ;-) We ride through these hills, in areas that are theoretically cleared.

Anyway, good ride despite the weathers, it's not any easier! And Jonathan got a flat, but easily repaired.

Now relaxing ? ahh.
