Marks and White

Today has been a study day on the color white, at least I think of white as a color for all its nuances and reflective capacity. So far it is the sense of vast space and the capacity of the most subtle of markings to take on form and life that draws me to whites. I fiddled a bit to leave out all but the barest of markings to suggest the form in this image.
