Drive-in

a dying icon:

The Drive-in used to be the place to go,
something reminiscent of Fonzi and Eddie Haskell and Gidget.

I remember my parents smuggling me into the Drive-in under a blanket in the back seat of their old Studebaker to watch Sean Connery as James Bond in "Dr. No".

Now there are only a few Drive-ins left, replaced by the Cinema-plex and NETFLIX.

You don't have to wear "Deep Jungle/Woods OFF" at the Cinema-plex
but you can drink beer and "cop a feel" in the privacy of your own car at the Drive-in.

We watched Pixxar's new classic film "Wall-E". (Fortunately you didn't need to hear the dialogue because these speakers really suck).

It was a great time. I loved the movie too.
