Man about Town
When I blipped the Twins, someone asked about people in London wearing hats.
You don't see many smart hats but when this gentleman rushed past me at speed, I did my best to capture him before he got away. I was wearing a skirt and heels so I wasn't going to run after him.
Note the coat, hat and gloves - the perfect city gent.
I remember one of my Scottish colleagues coming down to London for a course and they were most disappointed that the City gentlemen did not wear bola hats. I have seen one since - but only one.
An interesting fact for you:
Coughs and sneezes spread diseases, but colds are often passed on by hand contact. People are infectious for at least a day before, and for three to five days after symptoms appear and cold germs can survive on surfaces for several hours.
It might sound simple but according to virologist Professor John Oxford, hand washing is the single most effective things you can do. "But not just a quick rinse! Use plenty of soap and hot water and wash the backs of your hands and between your fingers" Hum your favourite tune to yourself while you do it - two choruses ofHappy Birthday is how long it should take.
Taken from an article in the Waitrose Love Life magazine
Now I can assure you that i have been following this advise today and that two choruses of "Happy Birthday" is alot of hand washing plus someone is going to wonder why I am singing Happy Birthday to myself
Of well, I am already known as the mad singing woman in the building, so no one will bat an eye lid
