The Church of Asda

Shopping makes for a long day!

Living the rural life necessitates a visit to a 24 hour supermarket before it's all over, and the long journey home can begin.

I was struck by how Asda looks so much like an American glass cathedral, or mega church. As soon as I thought it, connections started being formed in my mind on the similarity of shopping there and going to church! Though, it is a long time since I went, or even wanted to go to a church, and when I did, I was the leader! Changed days. Thank goodness. Nowadays, I just worship occasionally, at Asda.

But it's way too late, and I leave the pulpit free for you. I just want a cuppa, a penguin and bed. Good night and amen.
