Morning Visitor

Spring seems a lot closer today, the day is milder and the woodpeckers are drumming. When I opened the curtains the garden was full of birds, blue tits, great tits, chaffinches, house sparrows, tree sparrows and 6 long-tailed tits.

The seed all this lot were sprinkling under the feeders kept this chap very happy. I didn't know if my hand-held shots through the glass would be sharp enough. I was just about to try and gently ease the window open enough when between me and them flew a sparrowhawk and frightened the lot of them away.

It'll be off to work then, can't wait around for them to return!
