Robot...

Did you know that it was actually the Blighty Broadcasting Corporation that first coined the word 'robot'?

On February 11th 1938 BBC Television produced the world's first ever science fiction television programme, an adaptation of a section of the Karel Capek play R.U.R., that coined the term "robot". Apparently they didn't think of robot's in the same mechanical metal way that we would think of them. They were portrayed in the programme as organic robots like Ash in the film Aliens.

Notes on the Picture...
Did anyone see EcoDad's brilliant Horsey blip? I spotted a flock of sheep on the way home and tried to get a similar photo but found out that inspite of them looking quite tame, sheep have a much bigger flight distance than horses.
