Edinburgh and Fife

The view from the top floor of John Lewis this morning. The roofs of the Royal Botanic Gardens greenhouses are visible in the foreground (although they must be about a mile away).

We had a practical (if somewhat grumpy) morning, finally managing to buy a couple of chairs and a replacement lamp for the kitchen unit. I didn't say it was exciting...

I also had a demo of a Lumix DZ45. I hadn't been planning for a bridge camera, but they are great value for the spec, with full manual control and a ridiculous zoom. Seems a bit light, and the sensor isn't anywhere as big as an SLR but I am off the idea of lugging interchangeable lenses. On the other hand, the Lumix G3 is a beauty...

tbc :)
