Kusari-doi

It seemed appropriate to take a photograph of our kusari-doi, or rain chain, since it has rained pretty much non-stop today. The kusari-doi was traditionally used to add spiritual meaning to the Japanese tea ceremony, but today it is usually used, like this one, simply to enhance the aesthetic nature of any house or garden. The kusari-doi also works in accordance with the principles of Fung Shui.
