Dingo Flour

The Dingo Flour Sign is a well-known landmark in North Fremantle, so much so that The Heritage Council has placed the site on the Heritage register as a landmark quality.

The dingo logo is about four storeys high. It was painted over during World War II, but its outlines were still faintly visible.

Refugees and migrants coming to Fremantle Port saw the sign, and it still remains a useful reference point for boaters and anglers.

It was a hard subject to photograph as it is inside barbed wire fences.

I took the easy option of including the barbed wire in my photo, rather than trying to scale the fence.....
