Toujours L'Amour
The L'Amour Dance Studio, flanked by L'Amour Fashion and L'Amour Bridal Boutique, promises ballroom dancing and lessons. There is absolutely nothing to indicate what's really inside: a Vietnamese food court with half a dozen vendors offering fabulously delicious meals, snacks and beverages. The big room, lit by the giant second story windows, features open seating at white plastic tables, and there are two silent big screen tvs tuned to ESPN--today's simultaneous offerings were bowling and ski jumping. There are lots of families and little kids running around, seniors, young single working men, everyone Vietnamese. We've been coming here for so many years that I forget how we ever knew to even look inside the big sliding glass doors. I invariably choose the #2, noodles with grilled pork and shrimp, and Mr S gets Mi Quang soup, and then we share something from the dessert counter if we can possibly manage to fit it in. I've always wondered if the red writing above the L'Amour sign says Food Court or Dance Studio or something else entirely.
