Leaping Trout

Don't call the AA!

After yesterday's beautiful sunshine and copious opportunities for satisfying blips, today has been very grey but still bitterly cold. The farthest we ventured was around the garden, like a pair of manic tourists snapping anything that moved ... and most things that didn't.

In sad desperation, I lifted the lid on the compost bin in the hope of surprising the weave of wiggly worms that are usually in evidence, munching their way through our green leftovers and doing what nature does best. However, the cold weather has obviously slowed down the whole recycling process, with the worms (presumably) buried deep in the compost and the organic material yet to decompose.

So, there's no need to call the AA, since there's been no (compost) breakdown ... and the red wine is, as yet, unopened!
