Margate's Shell Grotto

Kay, Liz and I went to see the Shell Grotto in Margate today. It's certainly something and there seems to be quite a mystery around how it got there.

Next we had a rummage around the temptations of Scott's Emporium. I managed to retreat having only spent £1 on an old Michelin map of South Wales once priced at 2/- but I expect when I go down in my great big truck I'll be parting with substantially more.

Then it was time to head to Ramsgate station to catch the train back to Twickenham. On getting home, I found a house filled with 15 kids (and their 30 shoes) while Brome was doing the ironing in the lounge and watching the Princess Bride yet again, one of his all-time favourite movies.
