on this Sunday morning. Freezing cold (-11°) and very windy. My Camera battery was drained to 50 % in just 15 minutes. It was extremely slippery due to approx 5" of rock solid ice under my feet. I would have liked to hang around a bit longer, but it was excruciatingly cold. Will have to come here again when possible. An amazing sight that happens once every 15 years or so.

There are plenty of cars here covered and cocooned in a couple of "'s of ice. In the news this morning, someone managed to get into his car and actually start it up !!!
