Frozen in action!

Breakfast and live music
We joined the ranks of the great unwashed this morning! Breakfast of waffles in the fish auction house - no longer a venue for fish auctions but for good food and live jazz and rock.
At 7am, fresh from the comfort of our beds, we joined those who hadn't seen theirs to enjoy the great atmosphere.
Back on the frozen River Alster
There had been a snow fall overnight so the river was safer underfoot than on Friday. Hundreds of thousands of Hamburg residents were out again with wooden toboggans, ice skates and ice hockey sticks.
We spent a happy (if cold at -8) couple of hours getting in some panning practice before - you guessed it - more gluhwein and sausage and then off to the airport.
A nice end to a wonderful time i na beautiful city.
