Blizzard

Worked a half day, then headed off to Boulder, CO to meet K for our girls weekend. Of course we flew in amidst a big blizzard and the drive was very, very dicey from Denver to Boulder. But our Mitsubishi Eclipse managed just fine in the snowy conditions - just the damn small side windows were a bit small and made it difficult to shoulder check. I was gripping onto the steering wheel with all my might with my left hand for the hour long drive, and K was gripping onto the passenger side door with all her might. I think I was quite calm and collected for the crazy blowing snowiness and limited visibility. There were several roads and highways/freeways where we were the only car. We were determined to make it to Boulder that night.

We managed to drive by a liquor store on our way to the hotel (and pulled in a minute before they closed). I needed a stiff drink after that drive.....but we made it in one piece :)
