It is quite heartening to see this memorial for
Captain Cook at Westminster Abbey.
Today would have been my grandmother's 97th birthday.
She lived right opposite where he was born in Marton.

I got one of those furtive looks from a verger.
You are not supposed to take photos inside for sure, but I figured I would take my chances in the cloister!
