Getting there

First part of the new porch gone up. Long way to go yet. Kinda decided that there won't be a ceiling, (although that may change when I see the nails from the roof decking). The wood is treated this time!

Also decided that this new porch is going to come out a bit further to go over the airconditioner.

Still a couple more days on this though. Still got to rub down the old paintwork as well, although it'll be 2 months before the new stuff can be painted. Also looking like I've got to replace all the edging shingles as well on the main part of the roof. Couple of areas are looking quite crap. Key here is to ensure that absolutely no rain ever gets between the roof and the porch again, and if it does that there is an added layer of protection.
