An elaborate one at that. This is the famous 15mm f3.5 super wide angle made by Nikon in the 70s. I'm sure it cost quite a bit new, but I was able to pick this one up recently at a really cool all non-digital photography shop in NW Portland Oregon last year. It came with the leather case, and a little case of color/ND/Polar filters (shown in my last TOTT) that fit at the end of the barrel. The front glass of this lens is approximately 4 inches across. The built-in shade is mostly there to prevent the lens from being scratched as it reaches quite a ways out from the barrel. This one is in absolutely 10+ condition. Some call it an "armpit" lens as it produces a 180 degree image; from one armpit to the other. Of course, to appreciate its scope, it must be attached to a film or full size sensor (FX) camera. The DX sensor cameras with 1.5x or larger multiplication factor doesn't let it do its "thing." Quite fun to play with and a beautiful piece of machinery. Don't think that f3.5 is a little slow for this lens - if it was 2.8 the front glass would be over 10 inches wide!
