Delapidated
A lovely orange glow lit up the sky as the sun set this afternoon over this rickety old jetty on Birnbeck Pier.
The sea was like a millpond this afternoon as it gently lapped the stanchions of the jetty. A stark contrast to some of the storms we've witnessed in the past where at high tide the sea will be only a couple of feet below the planks of the jetty and waves come crashing over the hut on the end! The fact its still standing is testament to the engineering behind its construction.
A tanker can be seen in the far distance making its way back down the Bristol Channel.
