Old Town

Today S and I climbed the 287 steps to the top of the Scott Monument (the largest monument to a writer in the world).

There are beautiful views of Edinburgh from the top in all directions but I particularly like this view of the Old Town with Arthur's Seat in the background.

We rewarded our efforts with coffee and cake at St Giles' Cafe.
