Devils Tower

This is Devils Tower, I spotted it after taking a new pathway down to the river. There were also the remains of another tower on the side I was standing.

The information board said they were boom towers built in 1344 to defend Norwich and manage the river traffic.

I can't believe I've not spotted the Devils Tower before! The one on the side I was standing I could understand as it was hidden behind an old building.

My eyes were opened, what else have I missed ?

However, I find it amazing that the tower has been standing all this time! I somehow doubt the apartments behind the tower will still be standing in 668 years!
