Country walk
There was a widespread frost early this morning but as the day went on the sun shone and it even felt warm! So odd to think the South of France and even Rome has had snow!
T had a busy day as there was a breakage on the grab so he could not load the feeder wagon to feed the animals until he had welded it together after lunch. This also meant going into town to buy a grinder . The vet came to measure the lumps on the two young bulls following the TB test earlier this week and they have passed! This means they will be on there way any day soon to their new home on a large dairy farm in Dorset. All the other animals will be tested in March.
Four new weaned calves arrived from our old tractor driver's herd. They are Welsh Black x Hereford. He originally had a small Welsh Black herd but they do too well on the grass in this area, being upland animals, and tend to get too fat which is not good.
Tess and I went for a walk this afternoon down this lane and back via the farm. It really was a beautiful spring day.
