Valentines Ball
This evening Sarah, Emma and I went to the Cardiff Vineyard Valentines Charity Ball. It was so beautiful! I have known about it for months but didn't really think about going, but decided relatively last minute this week to go. I didn't have an evening dress here so Dad posted me mine (Thanks Pops! :D ) It was so fun to properly dress up; no one seems to dress up for the 'balls' at uni but it was a proper black tie event and everyone looked wonderful! And there was a string quartet, a magician, a caricaturist (who refused to do my caricature, but that's another story), a raffle and a Baileys fountain. A BAILEYS FOUNTAIN with edible chocolate cups.
It was a thing of beauty.
It was such an amazing evening, and the money raised was split between a charity called Baby Safe (I can't find a website but there is a cool article about it) and Storehouse, which I help once a month with. It's a church project which finds clothes and funiture for those in reduced accomodation or who just have very little. It's only been properly running for 8 months or so, but there have been some amazing stories so far and it has really helped a lot of people. So exciting how much money was raised!
