Mussels but no cockles..

Roy wanted to do cheap chinese last night, I said 'no', we then decided on Italian, driving through Quesada, I said 'what about Goy0's' a little Spanish bar/restaurant. Quick 'u' turn, arrived at Goyo's, the restaurant was closed, but the owner turned the lights on, put the air con on and sat us down. That wouldn't happen in the UK. Perused the menu, and I spotted mussels in a cream and parsley sauce, asked if I could have them steamed, and without cream, 'no pasa nada' came the reply. So starters, steamed mussels with crusty bread, main was solomillo de cerdo (pork) in a port sauce with rice, wine and coffee. Roy shared the mussels, he had pork in a sweet and sour sauce. Paid the bill, home, Law and OrderUK and a large Pernod and water, fell into bed with a hot wheaty germ bag.

2 sessions at the gym this morning, back to the Phone Shop to sort a problem out with my new phone, bacon butties for lunch, then the house has been blitzed, hoovered, dusted and mopped all the windows cleaned inside and out, including the large patio doors back and front. Roy watching the rugby, I'm going shopping.
