Learning from the master
After a lovely dinner last night in the Grainstore with friends and colleagues, we met our young American friend who is studying in Edinburgh for a late brunch in the Roseleaf in Leith. I think we are probably the last people in Edinburgh to go there, even though it's on the doorstep, and judging by how busy it gets they are obviously getting quite a lot right as an eatery. An excellent fry up! So we've been doubly blessed with nice things to eat, although as Sgt P has been feeling a bit under the weather for a few days he was not appreciative than he might be.
Snuggling down under a blanket to watch a double bill of rugby.
The title is a tribute to Sgt Pepper, whose approach to details this rather apes.
It's nice to see that a year ago this weekend we were out on the west coast, enjoying an excellent long weekend at Port Appin.
