'Woke up this morning, feeling fine...' (yes, sing along chaps and chapesses), but of course, it couldn't last. The snow is now of epic proportions. Overnight it has reached halfway up the window and when I opened the front door, it was to find a wall of snow, as tall as me, against it. The hall is now clear of the newly-acquired indoor snowdrift, which is busily not melting in the bath...yeah, I know, the joys of single-storey living. The glass door from yesterday's pic is no more: snow broke it.
The reports from Urbino are not promising...it is totally covered in a thick, thick blanket of snow. The town is paralysed and buried. No one gets in and no one goes out. Here in the back of beyond, it is the same, or maybe even worse. There hasn't been snow like this in living memory and I have spent many winters hearing folks complain that 'it doesn't snow like it used to" and "I remember when we used to have to dig our way out..."
This was taken from my "trench", it comes up to my chest.
And it's still snowing...
And schuh, I can't see your cave any more. :(
