Tasman Bay
Today was intended as a fairly laid back trip to Nelson - a couple of wee jobs to do and a bit of relaxing in cafes.
Although we began with a coffee and divine chocolate almond macadamia torte at Vanilla Cafe the rest of the day didn't actually turn out as we intended. Kiwilizzie made me go into shops where I spent too much money and then we kept remembering other jobs we had to do.
In the end it was after 5 before we left Nelson and the only shots I took were from this vantage point looking out on the bay. You can just see a small triangle of Rocks Road at the bottom of the photo, Arrow Rock (or Fifeshire Rock as it is also know) centre left and a slice of Haulashore Island running to the right. Above it all we have the seagull surveying his domain and checking that all is well.
The light was funny today a sort of combination of cloud and weak sun - this is taken with a polariser.
