I finally did it.

The karaoke place was quite an experience. Windows let you see into individual rooms, just big enough to hold a small, two person couch. Each was outfitted with a big TV and two microphones. In the orange paint of the walls names were sketched of couples who sang together on some special occasion or kids who were feeling rebellious. The dim lighting and loud music, slightly muffled from the closed doors of each room, just added to the atmosphere.

I've avoided going out to sing karaoke with my friends for over a year and a half, but after English class, after dinner, after we walked around the market, Dtam talked me into it. It was kind of like eating sushi for the first time, mentally uncomfortable, but once we got started, it was a lot of fun.

On a side note, I've tried to upload pictures for the last three days and they wouldn't load, so I'm happy this one did and I'll try to go back and fill in the past few days. I don't know what the issue was because nothing has changed with my pictures or internet. :(
