DRUG OF CHOICE

A few years ago some youthful boys in Christchurch unfortunately found out the secret of the DATURA plant (the flower of which is pictured here ). If the leaves are boiled and the remaining juice drunk a drug like effect can be obtained! - So powerful is the mixture if one over does it - you die. Unfortunately this is what happened to these youth. Its a very sad story of experimentation !

The name of the tree has beeN changed to BRUGMANSIA. The flowers have the most beautiful scent as you walk past on a warm evening and the flower is a big beauty ! Its like a lot of plants in our gardens - I guess too the start of early pharmecueticals. Our tree is planted round the back - not in public view.
For our consumption only - I mean viewing of course!!
