Frozen in Time?

Detail from St Michael, Coslany just a few yards from St Martin at Oak, pictured a few weeks ago. The weather has been slowly eroding the detail from the stonework for over 500 years. It continues to do so despite recent renovations.

When I pictured St Martins on a grey, miserable day, I had been note-taker at a meeting which saw the dismissal of a member of staff. Today I attended their appeal in the same capacity. New evidence and mitigating circumstances may see the original decision overturned. Today there was a glimmer of sunlight on the ice.
