Having fun on the Salt Flats

Our 3 day crossing of the Bolivian Salt Flats began with a briefing and meet & greet with our local guide called Abel in Uyuni.

We then set off in a convoy of three 4WDs and made the short journey to the Salar de Uyuni. February is in the rainy season which made for a spectacular and dramatic sight on the salt flats. Along with the blinding white mounds of salt there were big puddles showing off mirror reflections of the clouds.

The group enjoyed a few hours of perspective photo shots on the salt flats and had brought along an assortment of toys and costumes for the occasion. Jo and I also had fun and in today's Blip you can see us with our new English friend, Kay. The photo was set up by Abel and I think you will agree he did a good job.
