Bird Hide in the snow
Gorgeous big skies all day, good day for playing. Luckily got mine in early as the day speeded up and became manic. This retirement lark is not for the faint hearted. Sorry I haven't been around to comment as much as usual, will catch up soon.
It was so peaceful up at the the bird hide of last week's blip, with the little pond all frozen and pretty, last year's reeds and the elegant silver birches. You can just see the duck's des res on the little island, like the bird hide, made by our son. Harvey has to clear the pond of reeds every year to leave some exposed water for the moorhens, so it's on with the waders and watch out for the mud which sucks at feet and has been known to overbalance people. And oh the smell when that happens and he comes home soaked through. no sympathy from me you can see! Such fun, living in the sticks.
