Distant tree

It was a bit of a struggle to get to work today. I returned early and saw this distant tree across the fields which I thought would make a nice blip. Assuming the tracks would be icy but navigable I set off only to find the snow much deeper than it looked and the central ridge began scraping the underside of the car. Then I realised there was no turning back and this road winds on for a mile or so before it meets a main road. I just about made it through but I had visions of a long walk home...
