Love Laces
Ok. I promised myself I would never do the whole 'spell out 'Love' with shoelaces' thing because - let's face it - it's been done to death.
However, the image means a bit more to me because of what happened a couple of weeks ago. Are you sitting comfortably? Then I'll begin!
Mark and I have a habit of finding urbex locations in rather muddy places; that's why we always have our walking boots with us. Unfortunately for me, I managed to leave my boots in his car when he drove back to south Wales recently.
Now...I live in a part of Wales where tarmac isn't seen as a particularly important thing. Where Mark has pavements and roads, I have tree roots and ice. I was looking at the best part of a week without my walking boots. Gah!
A frosty Tuesday saw me toddling up the coast to visit my Nan. Being sensible (I can do that if I really apply myself) I opted to do some grocery shopping in Tywyn instead of Machynlleth; purely so I wouldn't have to risk my bones on the slippy pavements in my home town.
I ran around the shop as I usually do, and screeched to a halt at one of the checkouts. Time was ticking...I had about 10 minutes to get everything paid for and packed, and get to the station to catch my train home. It wasn't looking good.
But then a bag with a pair of walking boots appeared over my shoulder and landed in my trolley.
Mark had driven all the way up from Swansea to deliver my boots! He knows I hate surprises, but he has an uncanny knack of knowing what he can get away with.
God, I love that man :) x
