Alastair the Giraffe (40/366)

This is Alastair the Giraffe. He's a Swarovski animal, one of the four we have. We also have a Monkey (Emma), Elephant (Jonathan) and Polar Bear (Jessica).

Emma was born in the year of the monkey, and Alastair & Jonathan were given a cuddly giraffe and elephant on the day of their birth. It was snowing on the day Jess was born.

Alastair lived for only a month, and there are a number of giraffes around our house that act as aides memoire to the beautiful boy no longer with us.
