St. Margarets
Located on St. Margarets Way just of Burleys Way in Leicester, this is the largest of the citys` five churches.
The odd thing is that it`s outside what would have been the old city walls. It`s believed to be when the Danish people started to settle, the wanted to be close to the town to trade with the English but not have to live amongst them. When they converted to Christianity, they needed a Church and so they built this one.
Despite being on a busy ring road it`s lovely and peaceful in the churchyard
