Today we went to Archie Mason

Ever since we moved to this area, one of our favourite walks was to "Archie Mason"

If you follow the south west coastal path from Charmouth to the east, up over Stonebarrow, after about a mile you will see on the left tucked up under the hedge a plain little bench on which is a little plaque in Loving Memory of Archie Mason..

Who Archie Mason was we don't know but for the last 40 years my children and now their children have been walking to and picnicing at this little bench.

How far did you walk? we would ask

I am sure that like our little family, many have made Archie Mason their favourite spot so may I thank Archie and his family who placed this bench there and the joy they have brought us over the years.
