Standing alone

Stuck indoors filling in assessment sheets.
Too cold to go anywhere anyway. Haven't even ventured out to the paper shop.
A month ago, in my garden, this snowberry / mother of pearl bush still looked very pretty. However the cold weather and hungry birds have reduced it to mostly bare twigs. This cluster of survivors seems to be at a very strange angle.
