Let it snow

There may be snow on the ground outside and ice on the road but in my kitchen there's a foretaste of Spring. At this time of year low priced bunches of daffodils appear on checkout counters and I always buy some. The buds slowly open to full trumpets heralding new growth. Hot on their heels are bunches of tulips one of my absolute favourite flowers with their graceful pose.
