Caught in the act!

Tess is getting very naughty! When the mornings are freezing she runs back to the house from T in the farmyard and sneaks into the bed to warm up again. This she is not allowed to do!

N and T borrowed a 16ft trailer this morning and drove into the Wetlands to collect the trees we had ordered. They eventually found the place thinking it would be a tree nursery but in fact it was an old house behind a high wall with tall gates. The old woman said her husband was in London and showed them the trees. She told them they were really acorn hunters! They have travelled the world collecting acorns from many different species of Oak and then I suppose they plant them and sell the saplings ....

After they had arrived home T borrowed a little digger and the trees were planted in an earth and compost mixture. Now we look forward to seeing new growth in the Spring!

The eartags we had ordered yesterday had arrived and so T was able to insert them into the animals' ears.
