Grub's up

There are better photos (shoot me for saying it), from this birdy's 'better' side, that show how far his grubby, wormy lunch was dangling out of his beak.

But this is what I'm giving you.

It turns out birds are grim.

And this is what you could have won....no.2 son watching prime minister's question time... stay with me(!), it was actually quite funny! It's a geeky Wednesday tradition* that no.2 son bears, but is not usually pleased about. Today I let him move the table so he could see the TV whilst eating his lunch and he chewed on his cheese toastie** slowly and thoughtfully as he considered the right honourable gentlemens' response! Unbelievably, so excited was I by the bird activity in the garden that you missed the treat. Or perhaps there's something in the fact that a bird grubbing for worms in the garden is more photogenic than the members of parliament on display today. I'll leave it with you ;-)

Other stuff. Annoying speech therapist came today and was duly charmed and impressed with no.2 son's progress <polishes finger nails on chest in pride> When she entered the house he signed to ask her if she wanted a cup of tea! It's been one of those 'eat him up' days! He also brought her shoes when she'd over stayed her welcome. Hee hee. And he spontaneously fetched a cloth*** to mop up some juice he spilled and when I found him he did the whole 'caught' face. Very cute.

He also poured fairy liquid on the table, emptied my cupboards more than you would imagine humanly possible and had the biggest tantrum in the playground about having to use the pushchair because it was No.1 son's wimming lesson and we needed to be quick. Ahhh, that feels better. It's just in the interests of a balanced debate, you understand, anyone who watches PMQs knows that's what it's all about.....

*and a much less fun one than Red Wine Wednesday!

**what do you think the PM has for lunch?

***OK, a flannel :-/
