The power of words

Someone gave me some good advice today.

They said: "You are now giving a lot of attention to one intense situation. Does it really warrant all that time and energy? Often, rather than tackle a daunting, difficult task we allow ourselves to become obsessed by some comparative irrelevance. We gain more satisfaction from sorting out something small than from peering into the abyss of an apparent impossibility. You will only make progress by taking your attention away from the trivial and focusing it on the truly important."

Made me sit up a bit straighter and re-think one or two things!
