Early rising
I can't recall the last time I stood on a beach at sunrise. In fact, I don't know if I've ever stood on a beach at sunrise.
This morning however I had delivered the boys to the early ferry for the start of a trip south and after waving them aboard I made a slight detour to an empty beach, lit gold by the rising sun.
Idyllic!
Except for the biting cold of a force 5 wind that made my eyes water and my fingers turn blue inside my gloves. Apart from anything else at least two thirds of the pics I took were blurred due to me being knocked about by the wind.
It was beautiful but I doubt I'll make a habit of standing on the edge of the North Sea waiting for the sun to come up.
