Flare

A quick late afternoon snap in Whistler Village. I was curious to see how my Canon S95 could cope with the sun and lens flare. It has manual controls so I was able to close down the aperture to try and get a star from the sun, but it's not SLR quality (the smallest aperture is F/8, sports fans). As always in life, there's a compromise to be made and I couldn't really bring my DSLR camera with me on this trip: too big, too heavy, another carry on that would upset the airlines, etc. Yet another reason (excuse? justification to self?) to buy a mirrorless interchangeable lens camera. Boys and their toys, eh?
