Purple finch?

I think this is a purple finch. I went to the Emeryville shoreline to find an avocet for the AlphaPonty challenge. I didn't find an avocent, but there were plenty of other birds, including this one.

Maybe tomorrow I'll find an A photo, except I think it's time for B.
