Upside down
I took the long way home today, not because the weather was particularly inviting, but because I could. Normally we spend February under a layer of snow and ice and streets and sidewalks are impossible to manoeuvre about - except for cars. It's odd and wrong on many levels that in my homeland they have more winter than they know what to do with - and here we can't even freeze up a bloody puddle! It's all upside down.
But I feel I can't complain for fear of getting slapped around the head with 6 feet of snow and an arctic frost - so just to be clear: I'm not complaining. I'm observing :)
Around the corner from this path is a field where I stopped for a bit until I heard someone humming. It was a little unnerving because while there are apartments close by, they don't seem close enough for me to pick up any humming. Then again, maybe they have a whispering gallery thing going on :)
I showed Tyler his portrait but can't for the life of me figure out whether he liked it or not. Aside from the one I married I've never been very good at figuring out boys.
