A place in time

Ten green bottles...

I dashed out of work promptly today, drawn by the wonderful clear sky, hoping I could get a couple of shots overlooking the town as the sun was going down. However, instead of heading straight up to the Hog's Back, I took a scenic walk via our village arboretum, snapping away at the still-snowy vista, bare trees and beautifully tinted setting sun. There was bound to be a couple of good ones there, surely?

What I hadn't bargained for was it being quite so utterly, absolutely, bloomin' freezing cold! So I didn't actually stay out for longer than 50 mins in the end. But as I was cutting down a little pathway alongside the local infant school (what do they call them these days...first schools?) and I spotted this...

The "this" in question being what looked like a greenhouse (or at least a wooden frame that was vaguely greenhouse- or shed-shaped but minus any roof) and the walls were made up of all these empty plastic drinks bottles threaded onto canes. So, I banished any thoughts of blipping my artful arboretum snaps or the ones of The Boy fixing my laptop (and making it look so easy!) and am plumping instead for this one, as I reckon I won't get the chance of capturing the sun setting through these bottles again.
