La voix lactée

This is an art installation in the Saint-Lazare metro station. You can see it if you transfer between lines 14 and 9 (for instance). It is by a Québécois artist named Geneviève Cadieux and was a gift to the city of Paris from Montreal in thanks for an earlier gift from Paris, a Guimard metro entry that is now in Montreal.

The line of poetry on the wall is by one of my favourite québécois authors, Anne Hébert. More information (in french) here.

(The pipe in the bathroom is still leaking, by the way, and that makes 4 days! It is so wasteful and ridiculous. I still don't even know if they are going to come tomorrow. Argh.)
